Actions and decisions

Every project throws up small things someone needs to pick up, and moments where someone needs to make a call. Without a fixed place for them, they disappear into email, into a stray spreadsheet, or just out of memory.

Four separate lists, each shaped for its subject

Migreat! keeps risks, issues, actions and decisions in four separate lists, each with its own shape suited to what it's tracking.

An action has a title, description, owner, opened date and expected end date — flagged clearly once that date has passed — plus a status and a progress log. A decision has a title, description, reasoning, decision date, owner and the forum it was decided in. A risk has an impact, a likelihood and a mitigation. An issue has an impact, a status and an expected resolution date.

The progress log on an action is append-only: you add a new, dated line, but an earlier line is never edited or removed. That keeps an action's history readable exactly as it was built up.

Spotting them automatically from Teams

If you're using a connected Teams channel, Migreat! can recognise messages in it as a possible action, risk, issue or decision, and stage that as a suggestion. Nothing is created automatically: a project manager reviews every suggestion and only turns it into a real action or decision after approving it. This recognition is off by default and you switch it on per project.

This recognition currently reasons in Dutch only, regardless of the channel's own language — so for an English-language team, treat any suggestion it produces today as a bonus in the language it comes in, not as a feature that already speaks English.

What Migreat! does not do

  • No RAID log: risks, issues, actions and decisions are four separate lists, not one combined view.
  • No assumptions register. There's no separate list for assumptions.
  • No link between an action or decision and a specific risk or issue — the four lists sit alongside each other, not attached to one another.

Which plan holds this

Actions and decisions are in every plan, same as projects themselves. The automatic recognition from Teams comes with the Microsoft Teams integration.
